When youth organisation Nu FOCUS heard about the Luton protests they decided to do something positive in response.

The group decided to work with young people who attend their Style Moves dance workshops in Luton to put on a showcase.  The aim was to offer young people an alternative focus and demonstrate how – in spite of what others may say - people from different backgrounds can form good and lasting friendships.

The Style Moves group worked hard to perfect their routine, putting in extra hours on top of their weekly practice sessions, before taking to the stage on Saturday 5 May at Lewsey Learning Centre.

The young people put on a dazzling performance - in spite of a few butterflies and wobbly knees - with their enthusiasm and positive energy shining through. After the show, they enthused about the event, saying they were "fully gassed" and that they thought their performance was "peak".

Style Moves take place every Wednesday:

4.30pm-5.30pm juniors (6-12 years)
5.45pm-7pm seniors (13yrs+)
