What is a Personal Adviser (PA)?
A Personal Adviser (PA) is someone who is trained to help you.
PAs are there to listen and explain the different options, and to help you find services you need, not to tell you what to do.
With your permission, they can refer you to specialist advisers. Your PA is there to listen and will treat anything you say seriously. They will keep any information about you confidential, unless you give permission for it to be shared, or if you or someone else is at risk, or if there is a legal requirement for them to do so.
If you are not sure what you can share confidentially then ask your PA.
How to contact a PA
You can make an appointment with a PA at Luton's Youth Advice Drop-in Centre (Connexions) or at your school or college - ask your teacher or tutor how.
Alternatively, make an appointment by calling the Youth Advice Drop-in Centre on 01582 54 83 40.
